Synopsis:

The “sheikhates”: folk singers in Morocco, the most beloved of women marginalized for their love of freedom. Their liberal manners and liberal tone permit them to uniquely chant the injustice against women and their fate. In a few simple words, Shikha Aicha summed up this situation: “our life is similar to this candle which burns sacrificing itself so that others may behold!”
