Youssef Chahine and Yousry Nasrallah's works are available now on Netflix.

Following the successful premiere of the restored prints of Youssef Chahine films in 2018, the films went on to travel around the world in retrospectives celebrating the director in France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Norway, Finland and Czech Republic.

In its continued effort to bring the legacy of the Egyptian auteur to audiences, Misr International Films released a number of Chahine’s restored works on Netflix starting mid-June 2020. Now audiences, old and young, will be able to enjoy Chahine’s works in HD in Egypt and worldwide with English subtitles.

Spectators will be able to discover or revisit the autobiographical trilogy of Alexandria…Why?, An Egyptian Story and Alexandria Again & Forever, the historical dramas The Emigrant, Destiny and Saladin, as well as other classics like The Blazing Sun, Dark Waters, Return of the Prodigal Son and The Land.

MIF also has the pleasure of concurrently offering Netflix viewers across the MENA region the chance to watch a selection of Egyptian director Yousry Nasrallah’s works including Mercedes, The City and Summer Thefts with English subtitles.
